So imagine taking one such as James for a photo shoot. He's five. I knew his mood would depend on how well the evening before and the morning of went. So, without being a pushover, we were extra sensitive to James' needs. And, though biased as his father, I have to admit our extra care paid off! Here's James Helaman:

He is definitely one of my favorite little people in the whole world. He has that twinkle in his eye...I just love him!
He's MY grandson. My genes, my attitude, my sensitivity, my cuteness. You did real well with this one. He is a keeper.
Oh my! I could just eat him up. And of course, he doesn't like to be "eaten up"--(smothered with hugs and kisses.) How adorable are these pictures! So glad he cooperated. Someday he will absolutely love them too--right?
As a fellow 3rd child, I totally relate (grin) and I think I appreciate him even more than most.
SO cute. SO CUTE!!
Yes, he really is a doll. He has the cutest smile. We love him so much. Just like all of the others. Keep up the good work.
Wow. He looks so happy! He did a great job smiling. What a handsome young man.
So CUTE!! The pictures turned out great! What a little sweetie.
What a handsome young man he is!!! I didn't want to say cute because I know at his age he doesn't want to hear that. Especially if he's anything like his Aunt Laurel. She hated (oops, we don't use that word) she disliked strongly when she was called cute. She wanted to be called pretty and beautiful. I can understand his temperament, I mean I did grow up with someone just like him and I have stories to tell about 3rd children!
Love these pics! He is a handsome boy.
What a cutie! Thanks for explaining the "third" child . . . now I understand myself a lot better! I think I'll share it with my hubby! Ha!
Okay, so cute! Love that you can put pictures here for all to see. It is do hard to get them sent in the mail to everyone!
